Study outside of South Africa |

As a South African why would you even consider studying through an academic organization based outside of South Africa? Here are some valid reasons: - you haven't registered with a South African university or college, either because your matric results are not good eneough for the course you want to do, or you missed the last date to register!
- you want to travel or work outside South Africa and study at the same time
- you want to obtain a qualification from a specific country, either because you are planning to live in that country, or the qualification will provide you with more options than would a similar South African qualification
- you are required to study in terms of the work visa of the country in which you intend working, eg. au pairs in the USA working and travelling on a J1 visa (see USA - Au Pair )
- you cannot find an equivalent course in South Africa
- you can complete your studies and get qualified in a shorter period of time than in South Africa, eg. a medical qualification through a Chinese university (where you can study in English!) takes two years less than in South Africa - go to Wuco, a South African company with representatives in China, who can assist you in the process of registering at the Chinese university that is right for you
- the foreign course is cheaper than the local equivalent
- you want to study online using the internet, and no similar option is offered by a South African organization
- you wish to study in a language other than English or Afrikaans
